Terms & Conditions

Membership

Membership is subject to Chamber Board approval and the Chamber reserves the right to refuse or cancel a Member organisation’s Membership at any time without disclosing any reason.

Membership Subscription

The annual subscriptions payable by members shall be such sums as may, from time to time, be determined by the Board. No member whose subscription is in arrears shall be entitled to exercise the rights of membership and unless the Board otherwise determines, any member whose subscription shall be more than 6 months in arrears shall cease to be a member and his name shall be struck off the register of members.

The Chamber Membership is a business entitlement rather than a personal one. All employees of the Member Company are therefore entitled to use of all of the Chamber benefits and services when working on behalf of their Member employer.

Membership in the first year is valid for 12 months from the month payment is received by the Chamber.

Membership is for a minimum period of 12 months. Members will automatically be invoiced for the next membership period as each 12-month term expires.

From time to time Chamber Members’ details may be made available to third parties as part of a mailing list. You may opt out of this at any time.

Membership fees are based on the membership package and employee numbers in the Member organisation at the relevant location. Members must inform the Chamber about any changes in the number of employees or other vital aspects of the business.

Membership Services

Membership Services and benefits are subject to change without notice.

Duration of Membership

The minimum Membership period is 12 months with auto renewal for the coming year unless previous notice to terminate membership has been given in writing one month prior to renewal date. Should a Member decide to terminate Membership within the 12-month period, then they remain liable for the full annual fee. No refunds can be given, and Membership is non- transferable.

Payment Terms

After payment of the initial fees, subsequent annual payments are due on or before renewal date.

Communication

The Chamber regularly communicates with its Members, by email, post and telephone. We aim to approach Members with information that is of interest to them. This is an integral part of Membership and by entering into Membership you agree to be contacted by the Chamber by the means stated above. This regular communication can be terminated by the Member. Also, from time to time, Members may be contacted by the Chamber’s carefully selected partners in order to make them aware of certain Membership benefits.

Termination of Membership

A Member may terminate Membership by giving written notice at least three months before the day on which its subscription shall next be due. If no such notice is received the Member may be liable for the subscription for the ensuing year.

The Chamber reserves the absolute right to terminate the Membership of any Member where it is reasonably considered that continued Membership is not in the interest of the Chamber or its Members.

Chamber Services

Should Membership come to an end for any reason the ex-Member will immediately forfeit all rights to access Chamber services and benefits. Any advice or Chamber benefit sought from our member Service Providers following termination of Membership could be charged accordingly.

The Chamber shall notify service providers when a membership ceases and any ex-Members will be excluded from their beneficial rates.

Chamber Logo

Members are entitled to use a “Member of the Inverness Country Chamber of Commerce” logo, supplied by the Chamber, on any stationery, website and other marketing material to proudly show they are a member of the Chamber. If Membership comes to an end the ex-Member must destroy all stationery displaying a Member of Inverness Country Chamber of Commerce logo and remove it from any other online material.

Liability

Inverness Chamber of Commerce shall have no liability for any losses suffered by a Member as a result of using services offered by a fellow Member. Inverness Chamber of Commerce shall have no responsibility for advice given or services provided by its third-party service providers.
