CASE STUDY | PORT OF INVERNESS

Port of Inverness has been a member of Inverness Chamber for since 2011. We spoke to Sinclair Browne, Chief Executive of Port of Inverness about how valuable they have found their Chamber membership over the last 8 years:

Why did you join your Chamber?
To improve business connections, increase profile of business to the community and to take advantage of ICC’s undoubted connections both politically and within the business community across Scotland.

How has your business been impacted by joining Inverness Chamber?
Since joining ICC our business profile has improved considerably we have also been able to engage with the ICC through various events to ensure that our areas of concern/issues have a voice with authority.

What’s been the best advice you’ve received from Inverness Chamber?
From ICC – take out Westfield Health Policy – it has considerably benefitted our staff. We would not have provided this ordinarily but could see the benefits through the Chamber Scheme.

Which event really struck you as worthwhile and helped your business?
The round table luncheon that ICC hosted recently with Ivan McKee. This is the second such event that I have attended and the benefits are huge – we managed to engage at senior political level as well as engaging with other senior business leaders in the Region. It helped promote not only our business but the wider Highland Economy.
