MEMBER OF THE WEEK – THE BUSINESS PARTNERSHIP

The Business Partnership are the biggest independent firm of business brokers in the UK, with 25 regional offices around the country. After gaining experience in banking and commercial estate agency locally, I took the leap of faith in November last year and bought the franchise for the north of Scotland. Being part of a franchise really is the best of both worlds, the freedom to run my own business, but with access to extensive networks of connections, proven systems and software in place.

I’m Simon Fraser and I help business owners who are looking to sell their business. I offer a comprehensive, confidential and professional brokering service for business owners from pre sales business valuation through to negotiating offers and everything in between. Selling your business can be a stressful time, having a trusted and experienced advisor in your corner throughout the process can add real value. If you are considering selling your business why not get in touch to find out how Business Partnership can help?

Unfortunately, in many situations business owners don’t know there is such a thing as a business broker and instead of selling their business for market value they sell short to a competitor, maybe with unfavorable terms or even just give it away/pull down the shutters.

This is an absolute disaster; the business owner has put blood sweat and tears into building a successful business and on the way out the door they miss out on their reward. Helping business owners achieve the lucrative retirement they desire is hugely rewarding.

You can connect with me via facebook and linkedin to find out more about selling your business, I’m also pleased to offer a free no obligation valuation of your business.

ICC asked me what I value most about my chamber membership which is: As a ‘new business’ joining the local chamber was one of my first ports of call. The chamber is the largest independent business organization in the Highlands and offers an invaluable ecosystem of connections. The networking lunches are always a highlight for me personally, they are well attended, well run and offer me the chance to connect with like-minded business owners.

Like anything you will get out of your membership what you put in, my advice would be to engage with the team at the chamber at every opportunity. Attend as many of the events as possible and build relationships with other members.”
